We believe as an organization that lacrosse is the best game in the world, the fastest game on two feet. As a coaching staff, we feel that this is a player’s game and we want to put the student-athletes into areas where they can be most successful. We want to instill a confidence in the players to have the belief of succeeding in everything they do in life.
At NPAA, we only worry about what we CAN control, our attitude, effort, and communication. All of these elements are within our control and we can do a great job of giving everything we have (effort), staying positive (attitude), and having conversation on and off the field (communication). We do not worry about what we CAN’T control (refs, weather, location, opponent, etc.)
Additionally, we believe in playing a fast-pace, up tempo brand of lacrosse where we are constantly pushing transition, encouraging early offense, being aggressive on defense, and playing the game the way the Creator intended.
At NPAA, we encourage our athletes to play other sports. Ideally, a student will play football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and lacrosse in the spring. This gives you a skill set unmatched by players who play lacrosse year-round.
Sports do not define you, your character defines you.
